A meeting of the Crimean Tatar youth with Mustafa DjemilevOn May the 16th a meeting of the Crimean Tatar youth with Mustafa Dzhemilev Head of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people was held. The first meeting of this kind was organized in May 2006 in Simferopol. In order to reach to the largest audience possible and to cover the event in the most explicit way, TV-format with a subsequent translation on «Atlant» and «Crimea» STVC (State TV Company) was chosen for the meeting.
Attendees asked Mr. Dzhemilev questions regarding wide range of social problems such as language usage, education, land, Qurultay election, national rights protection, priorities of political course of people of Crimeans (Crimean Tatar people).
Meetings with Head of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people are aimed at getting Crimean Tatar youth acquainted with national interests and priorities of the national movement, at their integrating in it. Success of the event and satisfaction of all participants with its results are evidence of social demand for wider media coverage of activities of the organs of national self-governance of people of the Crimeans, including the youth.
